Moose Stew 
Makes: 6-8 servings
The rich gamey taste of moose comes alive stewed up with various root vegetables.
Ingredients:
- Cubed moose
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 5 or 6 potatoes, chopped
- 2-3 carrots, diced
- 1 small turnip, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: thicken with water and flour mixture; add chilli flakes for added spice
Instructions:
- Sear moose, then add chopped onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Cook for a few minutes, then add enough water to just cover the meat. Simmer until tender, about an hour.
- Add potatoes, carrots and turnip. Keep the water level just above the ingredients.
- When cooked, thicken liquid with flour and water mixture if desired.
