Tea Buns

Makes: 10-12 tea buns

Simple but delicious buns with a hint of sweet


  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Optional ingredients: cinnamon, cubed apple, dried, fresh or frozen cranberries or blueberries, etc.


  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Blend flour, baking powder, sugar and butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
  • Add milk, vanilla and any optional ingredients you are using. Mix well.
  • Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
